Historia
In the village of Starlight Hollow, there was a great tree that stood on the highest hill. Its branches seemed to touch the sky, and its leaves glowed faintly at night, as if holding the light of a thousand stars. The villagers called it the Star Tree and believed it was a gift from the heavens.
Every year, during the Festival of Lights, the villagers gathered under the tree to celebrate. They sang songs, shared stories, and watched as the tree’s leaves shimmered brighter than ever. But one year, something changed. The Star Tree’s light began to fade.
The villagers were worried. “If the Star Tree dies, we will lose our connection to the stars,” an elder said. They decided to send someone to the top of the tree to find out what was wrong. But the climb was dangerous, and no one was brave enough to go—except for a young girl named Isla.
“I’ll climb the tree,” Isla said. She was small but fearless, known for her adventurous spirit. The villagers tried to stop her, but Isla was determined. “If we do nothing, the Star Tree’s light will be lost forever,” she said.
With a bag of supplies and a lantern, Isla began her climb. The tree was enormous, its trunk wide and its branches stretching far. She climbed higher and higher, passing birds’ nests and small glowing insects that seemed to guide her way.
After hours of climbing, Isla reached a large branch where she could rest. She looked down and saw the village far below, its lights flickering like tiny stars. Above her, the sky was filled with constellations. She felt a sense of wonder and determination.
As she climbed higher, the air grew colder, and the branches became thinner. Finally, Isla reached the top. There, she found the heart of the Star Tree—a cluster of golden fruits that glowed faintly. One of the fruits was cracked, its light dim.
A soft voice spoke. “Why have you come, child?” Isla looked around but saw no one. “I’ve come to save the Star Tree,” she said. The voice replied, “The tree’s light fades because the villagers have forgotten its true meaning. They celebrate the stars, but they no longer look to them for guidance.”
Isla thought about the voice’s words. She realized that the Star Tree’s light was not just a decoration but a symbol of hope and connection to the heavens. “How can I help?” she asked.
The voice said, “Take one of the golden fruits and share its light with the village. Remind them of the tree’s purpose.” Isla carefully picked the cracked fruit, which began to glow brighter in her hands.
The climb down was difficult, but Isla held onto the fruit tightly. When she reached the ground, the villagers gathered around her. “What did you find?” they asked.
Isla held up the glowing fruit and told them what the voice had said. She placed the fruit in the center of the village square, where it shone brightly. The villagers looked up at the stars and remembered the stories and lessons passed down through generations.
The Star Tree’s light began to return, its leaves shimmering once more. The villagers promised to honor its meaning, not just during the festival but every day.
From that night on, Isla became known as the Guardian of the Star Tree. She continued to climb the hill each evening to watch the stars, her heart full of wonder and gratitude. And the Star Tree stood tall, its light a beacon of hope for Starlight Hollow.
